With a strong consistent conceptual design as a foundation we can now start to design the detail. This is where we start to examine what tasks are required to support the capabilities we need. For each task we'll determine what information will be require when and how to best represent it. This more detailed design is presented in the form of wireframes - sketches and diagrams of possible routes through the system. As more detail is added we include various controls which the user will interact with and specify the behaviour they should have, what happens when someone pressed that button? Does it provide a place to enter new information? Does it perform a calculation or does it send an email to a colleague to pass the buck to them?
